Travel with me to 30A 🌊🐟🐚

ALys beach, fonville press

Hi friends!! Gosh it’s been a while since I’ve posted on this old gal, but let me tell ya it really does fill my cup! I love sharing my life and places I’ve traveled and giving you all the deets on my favorite spots when traveling!

So recently, I traveled to Rosemary Beach, Florida (30A area) for a work retreat with my coworkers I work with at the med spa (Remedy Medical Aesthetics). This isn’t the first time I’ve been to this area, we came 4 years ago for jays first ever Ironman!

It is the cutest town if you’ve never been, it’s seriously such a vibe. Think European beach town with cobblestone paths, cutie coffee shops on every corner, walking paths everywhere, dunes to get to down to the white sand beach, perfect hues of blue ocean, and just relaxed chill vibes. The weather (early March) was honestly perfect, mid 70s and sunny, overcast and misty one day, but otherwise perfect! One thing I love about this area is the stretch of beach towns. You can bike, walk or run along 30A and pass through several different beach towns starting at Rosemary Beach and ending near Destin, its also super family friendly and would make a cute bachelorette spot!

Because we were there on a retreat our boss had everything planned out for us and it made it so fun each day, I will share what we did each day and all the places we loved to eat below.

THURSDAY( travel day)

We arrived Thursday around noon, made it to our Airbnb, unpacked and head out to explore the area. We somehow landed at amigos for margs and chips and salsa 💃🏻 it did not disappoint. The chips were warm with salt flakes 🤤 afterwards, we walked into Rosemary beach and all needed a pick me up, so we stopped Amavida coffee (I got a less sweet hazelnut iced latte) it was yummy! We did a little shopping around the area, walked back to the house and got ready for a bonfire on the beach!

FRIDAY

The next day (Friday) we woke up, and walked down to the local beach where we did beach yoga together!! Afterwards, we walked over to Alys beach to eat breakfast at Fonville Press and get coffee (which I thought was not that great honestly) I want a craft coffee I can’t make at home and I don’t think they had a great selection. I got the avocado toast which was suppeerrrrr fresh and good, and some girls I was with got the breakfast bowl and pizza and said both were fantastic. Britt also got the crème brûlée cheesecake, I had a bite and it was tasty!

After breakfast we walked around to some shops, then found our way back to the house to lay be the pool and soak in the sun before getting ready for hibachi at the house! I also did a quick 4 mile run that day, and it felt so good to run outside again.

Kristina booked a local hibachi company to come out to our house and cook for us, it was a lot of fun and something different to do than going out to eat. You can literally google 30A hibachi and tons of local companies pop up. After dinner we got picked up by our private driver and he drove us to the Red bar and Chiringo (located in Santa Rosa) which were both like college party bars lol we definitely felt the oldest but we made the most of our time out and danced and had fun together!

SATURDAY (last full day)

Saturday morning we took it kinda slow and eventually made our way into town to rent bikes at Peddlers. This was our overcast misty day and I thought it was perfect because we ended up biking 16 miles to Seaside, stopping here and there for coffee and shops. It was so fun and relatively easy to do. By the time we made it back it was time to get ready for dinner, we freshened up, took some beach photos and then went to Gallion’s for dinner which was amazing. Most of us got the red snapper the local way and it was absolutely amazing, so fresh and so so good. We left with full bellies and full hearts, ready to pack up for the travel day home the next morning.

We had such an amazing time, it’s such a cute town with so much to do. If you ever get the chance to visit this area, I highly recommend it!
